A BIT ABOUT US
We are three Y11 Northlands students who have been raised internationally, but have lived in Argentina our entire lives, giving us a unique combination of both local and foreign culture. We all have prior experience with both teaching and taking care of young children and enjoy doing these activities in a fun and engaging manner.

ALEXIA URIARTE MACDONALD
Hi! My name is Alexia and I’m 16 years old. Born and raised in Argentina, where my Dad is from, I've spent lots of time in the US, where my mom is from, visiting our extended family. So I’m native in both English and Spanish (and I can also speak some basic French). I’ve grown up with a mixture of cultures, celebrating Thanksgiving each November, and Mother’s Day twice a year because the US and Argentina can’t agree on a date!
I have two younger sisters who I have been babysitting for years. One of them, Tess, was born with cognitive and physical disabilities. She’s fifteen now, and in many ways she has prepared me to work with toddlers as well as teenagers, and has helped me become a patient, creative and adaptable person.
As for school, I’ve been at Northlands since 6th grade, and before that I attended a Waldorf school. I have experienced two completely different educational philosophies, allowing me to look at topics from different perspectives, which is very helpful to me when tutoring.
